Route

After cycling a little along the Riccione seafront, you’ll continue on a dirt road with some climbs and descents in the Romagna countryside towards the picturesque villages of Monte Colombo and Montescudo. The descent to the Valmarecchia precedes the longest climb of the route, albeit without any excessively demanding slopes – the effort is however largely rewarded by truly unique views over the whole valley and Montefeltro area. Once you reach the rocky spur of San Leo and its iconic fortress, you’ll continue to climb reaching nearly 800 metres above sea level to the highest point of the route, near the Monte Montone Park. Here the well-deserved descent begins, which from Monte Cerignone leads to the Conca Valley, to return to the seafront along dirt tracks in the natural surroundings of the river park.
