A great commemorative event of cycling. Among the younger road classical races in the international Pro Tour calendar, the Vattenfall Cyclassics represents one of the most beautiful races, thanks to the ability of the organizers to conjugate the great professional cycling with a lot of events devoted to all the two-wheel lovers.
While more than 200 riders of the best Pro Tour teams ride along the southern of the city in the first race time, thousands of people with families and kids bike for example on the final circuit of Hamburg waiting for the sprint of the champions.
Scheduled for 15th august, the 2010 Vattenfall Cyclassics will probably offers again a big finale race among the best sprinter of the Tour de France, with the green jersey Petacchi, Cavendish and Hushovd, but also the Australian McEwen and American Farrar winner in 2008 e 2009’s editions.
Before the professional race, the Hamburg classic, once named Hew Cyclassics, also proposes a lot of races for young categories, already from Thursday 12th august. World Cup stage since 1998, it has been insert in the Pro Tour calendar in 2005.
