After Vallonia and Poland Tours, the international Pro Tour cycling calendar will come back another time in north Europe for the Eneco Tour that will take place from 17th to 24th August 2010. For all days, the best professional cyclists will ride on the streets of Belgium and Nederland for the sixth edition of this important stage race.
With the Eneco Tour for professionals, the Belgian-Dutch event also proposes a fascinating edition for children with the Eneco Kidsride. In every city center of departure and arrival of the Eneco Tour stages, children can in fact take part in a "mini" Eneco Tour at the presence of Dutch champions Leontien Van Moorsel and Michael Boogerd. The Eneco Tour 2010 will start on August 17th from the town strengthened of Steenwijk in Dutch territory.
In the following days, it will reach then the cities of Rhenen, Ardooie, Renaix (that welcomed 1998’s World championships won by Maurizio Fondriest), Roermond, Sittard, Heers and Genk, where it will finish on August 24th, after 8 stages, with a time trial of 16,5 kilometres. In 2009, really this final time trial was conclusive for the final victory of the Norwegian Edvald Boasson Hagen.
