The Vattenfall Cyclassics, better known as the Classic of Hamburg, is one of the closest and most recent UCI Pro Tour, it is a one day race in Hamburg, Germany.
The cyclists pedal 217 km of road, mostly flat, with some scratches on the banks of the Elbe, where they face four times the Waseberg, a low hill, but very hard.

In 2007, victory went to the Italian Alessandro Ballan, world champion in Varese, with a strong attack in the last km.
In 2008, Australian cyclists have occupied all the podium with Robbie McEwen, Mark Renshaw and Allan Davis, a great celebration for the professional cycling in Australia.
