Tour de Romandie 2009 |
 April 28thMay 3rd Switzerland The special and mixed, but balanced route of the Tour of Romandie always gives a prize to the cyclist who is both a good climber and a good time trial rider. As always the race visits the main French-speaking cities of Switzerland, but includes also some hard climbs of Switzerland mountains. The Tour of Romandia 2008 gave the prize to the german Andreas Kloden of the Astana team, the second was the Czech Roman Kreuziger and the the Italian Marco Pinotti. Special guest Lance Armstrog and the fantastic Fabian Cancellara. The six-day race is composed by 5 stages and a prologue for total 672.20 km of race: 28.04.2009 Lausanne prologue time trial 3.1 km 29.04.2009 Montreux - Friborg 176.2 km 30.04.2009 La Chaux-de-Fonds 161.5 km 01.05.2009 Yverdon-les-Bains time trial on urban circuit 20.1 km 02.05.2009 Estavayer-le-Lac - Sainte-Croix 157.5 km 03.05.2009 Aubonne - Geneva 153.8 km Click on map to see the race step details.
