As for all sports of resistance and long duration, the feeding represents also for cycling a very important factor. Also for not much kilometres, in fact, it is extremely important to feed ourselves in a right way, and not to underestimate the energetic waste required by the organism to sustain the sporting activity. For each eventuality, it is recommended to bring with you something to eat (possibly fruits or little sandwiches easy to eat on bike) and above all a good quantity of drinks. Crisis of silk has also happened to the great champions, and to avoid them it is necessary to anticipate them often sipping the drinks that you brought with you. When the stimulus of thirst appears, in fact, it is often too late. The drinks more recommended to avoid phenomenon of dehydration and to bring a correct hydration, are above all water and natural fruit juices. An excess of salty integrators and drinks with a lot of sugars can badly condition the sporting performance. Too sugars are in fact able to instigate a dangerous "reaction" causing an increase of insulin. The secret for a good hydration is therefore that to drink a lot, but first of all water, orange and fruit juices, always the best drinks. It is instead necessary to distrust about sugary or "energetic" drinks, in which the high level of sugar it decreases the ability of the drink to oppose the dehydration. The most important think is to drink at least a quantity of liquids equal to that eliminated through the perspiration.
