Excellent aerobic activity, cycling allows in fact to practise a very important sport activity that involves a lot of muscular districts. Legs, therefore, but not only.
Its typical long aerobic activity also allows cyclists to show off a harmonious and "graven" body.




To sustain a cycling activity with good results, both competitive or not, a good feeding is essential however. As in all sports of long duration and resistance, in fact, cannot be improvised. To sustain a long cycle-walk you have so to start with energies enough to oxygenate your muscles along the whole route.

If you don't feed yourself correctly, you can risk to be in "empty fuel" and not to reach the finish.
The most frequent trap for the cyclists is represented by the decrease of sugars in the blood, a real "gasoline" for our muscles.
Also the great champions have suffered awful "crisis of hunger" during their sporting career. With a good feeding, instead, there is not to get fear.

To make long distances and a prolonged effort, riders preferably feed themselves with carbohydrates and proteins (firstly pasta, raw ham and parmesan), but also fruit and desserts (preferred the tart) to always have available sugar of fast assimilation.
Most important, than, to bring with you fruit to easily eat on bike, like bananas, and sugar's lumps.
Besides, don't forget to feed yourself without waiting for the stimulus of the hunger, because it often comes when the crisis already happened.
