A lot of winners have been celebrated on 15th June 2008 by the 100 km of Forti. Along three days of races, in the special event of the highland of Lavarone the best Italian bikers challenged on three different runs. A real festival for mountain bike lovers that among these mountains of Trentino enjoyed a long week-end of sport, tourism and history. Very fascinating, in fact, the run inside this mountain territory center of so many battles of the First World War. To remember it, guns and rests of fortress along the race-run. Among the starters of the Marathon race there was also the trentin champion Gilberto Simoni. After the Italian international in Vermiglio the day before, the former winner of the Giro was sixth to the finish, at more of 19 minutes from the winner. The 100 km of Forti 2008 was won by Walter Costa, who crossed the finish-line with Marco Trentin, after a long escape of 88 kilometres with him.  100 km dei Forti Marathon Results 1.
