 April 2011We’ll have to wait for January 2011 for the official presentation of the next Vuelta of Spain, but some indiscretions have already slipped out and they announce an edition with important novelties. After Seville, beautiful scenery for the team trial that has inaugurated the last edition, to welcome the departure of the Vuelta 2011 will be the town of Benidorm, in the Comunidad Valenciana, already center of the 1992 world championship won by Gianni Bugno. After Benidorm, in the first part of the Vuelta 2011 will very probably cross the region of Alicante, where there will be also a stage with the slope of Xorret of the Catì. The more difficult mountain stages will then be helded on the tops of Sierra Nevada in Andalusia, then in the Asturies and in Galizia. The most important novelty of the Vuelta 2011 seem however to be the return of the Spanish race in the territory of the Basque Country, after a long absence. Also for the edition number 66 of its history, the Vuelta will be assigned in 21 stages. To know the whole run of the Spanish race, we only have to wait for the official presentation next January.
