July 3-25 The 97th edition of the Tour de France takes place in July 2010 from 3 to 25. Even the 2010 Tour has chosen a start outside its borders, in Holland, as the Giro of Italy 2010. The start will be from Rotterdam with an 8 km prologue. After three stages, the races continues in France, until the finish on the Champs Elysees on July 25th. There are a total of 20 stages plus the prologue, for a total of 3,600 km of roads and slops. There are 23 steps to climb, with a double step on the Tourmalet. The organization has included in the Tour de France 2010, 11 cities that had never been touched by the Grand Boucle.
