 August 30Valle di Ötztal The Ötztaler Radmarathon, is a cycling marathon which runs through the valley of Ötztal, since 1982 at the end of August. The appointment with the Ötztaler Radmarathon 2009 is on Friday August 28. The official route is 238 km with peak up to 5500 m:  Sölden (1.377 m) - Längenfeld - Umhausen - Oetz (820 m) - Kühtai (2.020 m) - Kematen (610 m) - Völs - Innsbruck (600 m) - Sonnenburgerhof - Schönberg - Matrei am Brenner - Steinach am Brenner - Gries a. Brenner - Brennero (1.377 m) - Vipiteno - Passo Giovo (2.090 m) - San Leonardo in Passiria - Passo del Rombo (2.509 m) - Sölden (1.377 m).  Ötztaler Radmarathon 2009 Program: 28 August 2009 2 - 8 pm Handing out of starters' packages at the tennis center of Freizeit Arena 29 August 2009 * 11 am - 10 pm Handing out of starters packages at the tennis center of Freizeit Arena * 11 am Opening of the bicycle exhibition "SATTELFEST", Freizeit Arena tennis center and outdoor area * 11 am - 9 pm Massages available at Freizeit Arena sports hall - equipment storage room * 4 pm Hair dyeing and shaving legs by KLEMENS and his team, sports hall of Freizeit Arena * 6 pm - 10 pm Barilla-Pasta-Party at the sports hall of Freizeit Arena * 7 pm Tom Zabel presents the new Ötztaler cabaret program "DU & NICHTS" * 7.30 pm Official welcome by the organizing committee * 7.45 pm Meeting of cyclists, information on the track and rules - together with the URC race director, the Austrian and Italian police. Compulsory attendance! Latest information on new rules, road blocks, changes of the program etc. This information is valid for the entire race. 30 August 2009 * 5 - 6 am Handing out of starters' packages at the tennis center of Freizeit Arena * 6.45 am Official start of the Ötztal Cycle Marathon next to BP gas station; access only via the hamlet of Windau (by bicycle) * from 10.30 am Entertaining sports and culture program in the outdoor area of Freizeit Arena and along the main road, concert performed by the Sölden brass band * 1.30 pm The male winner is expected to arrive * 2.30 pm The female winner is expected to arrive * from 7 pm Entertaining program in the sports hall of Freizeit Arena and Barilla-Pasta-Party; vouchers can be used up here. * 9 pm Official prize giving ceremony at Freizeit Arena 31 August 2009 # 4 am "ÖTZTALER NACHRICHTEN" will be published (official Marathon Paper) incl. all rankings # 8 am - 12 noon Distribution of "Ötztaler Nachrichten" and handing out of the finisher trikots and certificates in the tennis hall of Freizeit Arena Lisa Guerrini Gare Ciclistiche
