|
Mai 18 2008
To toast with the sparkling wine on the podium of 39th Nove Colli went up the Piedmontese Sergio Barbero.
Coming from the professionals, like tradition in the Gran Fondos, winner in his professional career of Lazio's Tour and Tre Valli Varesine 1999 and Coppa Bernocchi 2003, after having worn the jersey of important team as Carrera and Mercatone Uno in the years of Marco Pantani and Lampre.
A new important winner worthy of the history of this great event organised by Fausto Coppi Cesenatico's bike team.
Its president Arrigo Vanzolini is enthusiastic for the high participation, despite the bad weather, and just gives appointment to 2009's edition.
To compete for the important finish line in Cesenatico, who welcomed the departure by its suggestive harbour, were almost 11.000, maximum limit for organizers to best guarantee assistance and safety.
A record just reached in last edition and again in 2008 three months before the appointment with 39th Nove Colli on 18th May.
In the race for its conquest, Sergio Barbero found on his road the other former professional British Jamie Burrow, which after 200 kilometres of race concluded ex-aequo with the Piemondtese winner.
Wins also for Giuseppe Corsello, on 130 kilometres run, and Monia Gallucci and Melissa Merloni among women on 200 and 130 kilometres.
