Giro d'Italia 2009

2009 is the year of the Centenary of the Giro d'Italia, the historical stage race, that has marked the history of Italian people.
The race starts, 9 May, from Venice, and after 20 exciting stages, an incursion in Austria, it arrives in Rome, 31 May.
The stage of Milan is a experiment, with a city circuit.
The Cuneo Pinerolo stage is the longest one, with all the climbs, that have made the Giro d'Italia story (Colle della Maddalena, d'Izoard, Monginevro and Sestriere) The time trial of the Cinque Terre stage starts and finishes in slope.
But the big true Giro d'Italia 2009 stage is the Pergola - Mount Perano one, a huge adventure with 80 km up!
