 September 29October 3 Australia After six editions uninterruptedly in Europe among 2004 and 2009 (through Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany and Switzerland), the 2010 Road Cycling World Championships will join for the first time Oceania. From 29th September to 3rd October it will be in fact Australia of actual professional world champion Cadel Evans to welcome the world championships, in the towns of Melbourne and Geelong, on the eastern-southern coast on the Indian Ocean. From Tuesday 28th September, the circuit of Geelong that from the following day will welcome the first time trial races it will be open to all the riders for the official trainings. On Wednesday and Thursday there will be in fact the time trial races for men U23 and elite and women elite the great protagonists of Australian world championships. The road races will began instead on Friday with men U23 championship, on the same Geelong’s circuit that on Saturday will also welcome the women elite race. On Sunday, the start of the major race will instead be given from the town of Melbourne, almost 60 years later the Olympic Games won in 1956 by Italian Ercole Baldini.
