May 5-10Dunkirk The winner of the 4 days of Dunkirk in 2009 is Rui Faria Da Costa (Caisse d'Epargne). The 4 days of Dunkirk is stage cycling race on the roads of northern France. It takes place on the first days of May and provides more than 1000 kilometers to ride, in six stages, start and finish in Dunkirk. On Saturday, cyclists challenge mountains as, in the past editions, Mont Cassel, Monts de Flandre, Monts du boulonnais, Collines de l'Artois and Cap Blanc Nez. This spring race involves the best cycling teams of the moment and from 160 to 180 professional cyclists. Only in 2006, the first victory for an Italian at the 4 days of Dunkerque: Roberto Petito. Unfortunately this edition in 2009 there are no Italian teams, but other international great teams: Team Quickstep and Saxo, Caisse d'Epargne and Columbia, Silence-Lotto and Katusha to live an exciting spectacle.
