Squacquerone di Romagna

Squacquerone of Romagna is an Italian fresh cheese. The main ingredient is full fat cow’s milk which is curdled. It has a soft and delicate taste, slightly sour and bitter... It does not have a crust, the paste is white and homogeneous.
It is formless.
It is a DOP product of high quality. It is typical of the province of the Emilie-Romagna countryside: Ravenne, Forlì-Cesena, Rimini and Bologna.
Milk employed for this cheese comes exclusively from breedings located inside the typical area.
The nutritional values of Squacquerone are important for the high biological quality of proteins, of calcium and of the vitamins B1, B2, PP and A. Moreover it contains a big quantity of sodium, potassium and phosphor. It contains 25% of fat.

ADVICES:
