 July 24 - 31Iron bikers also this year are ready for Iron Bike 2010. From July 24 to 31, a week of races dedicated to the best mountain bike athletes. On July 24, 2010, starts the 16th edition of "Iron Bike" from the resort of Entracque (Cuneo) and ends in July 31 in Sauze d'Oulx (Turin). Across trails, mule tracks and dirt roads, a total distance of about 650 km and 22,000 vertical meters, divided in a prologue and seven stages, is covered. The exact route remains secret until the starting day, when athletes receive a road book with the track. The Iron Bike is a very tough race, that's why competitors are carefully selected, it passes across many places and spectacular scenery, whose difficulty is not indifferent so, to ensure safety, the race is open only to 140 athletes. Between mountaineering and extreme mountain biking, Iron Bike reserves a lot of emotions! After the victory in 2009 edition of the italian athlet Luca Rostagno, 21 year old, at first place before a lot of mtb bikers already winners at international level, the expectations for this year are huge. Mountain bike lovers and extreme sport fans, and even those who love alpine sceneries, cannot miss this event!
