 July 3-25Just a few time later from the finish of an enthusiastically Giro d’Italia, exciting up to the last stage, with the Tour de France the great professional cycling is ready for three new charming competition’s weeks. It’s in fact few days to the departure of the 2010 Grande Boucle, that just as the Giro d’Italia will start from Holland, in Rotterdam, on Saturday 3rd July. After 3.600 kilometres along 21 stages, two rest-days, one time-trial, crossing Alps and Pyrenees (these last ones in the French run since 1910) with two climbs to the Tourmalet and the pavé to remember the spring’s north classics, the 97th Tour will take finish on Sunday 25th July on the traditional finish-line of the Champs-Élysées. For 2010’s edition, the organisation held by Christian Prudhomme inserted 11 new towns as stage locations. For what about the most favourites, the last yellow jersey is by Alberto Contador, that to win again will have to defend himself from Texan Lance Armstrong that in 2009 came back to race just to pursue his eighth triumph in the Tour history but also from Ivan Basso who recently won the Giro d’Italia.
