 April 6Cervia Thousand of cyclists will crowd on Sunday 6th April in Cervia the departure of "International Gran Fondo Selle Italia-Via del Sale" 2008. It continues in fact with its 12th edition the happy union between Sportur organizers and the firm of Casella d'Asolo national leader in the production of saddles for run, off-road and triathlon bikes, and main sponsor of this sport event. With its runs "Gran Fondo" of 152 kilometres and "Medio Fondo" of 100, 12th "Gran Fondo Selle Italia-Via del Sale" also assigns 3rd "Trophy Sport Ravenna" and is valuable for Udace Italian Championship, over that for the Prestige Cicloturismo 2008 classification. There are also a Short run of 74 kilometres and one Gourmet of 40 kilometres particularly interesting for "cycle-gastronomy" lovers. Entirely level, open to everybody and with every bike, this run "on roads of salt and wine" will be rich of points where to taste typical products of this region, with registrations open up to 9 a.m. of 6 April. Start of "Gran Fondo Selle Italia" will be given since 8 a.m. (10 a.m. for Gourmet run) on Grazia Deledda waterfront, in front of Club Fantini. To assure mechanical assistance to concurrents, it also will be present official neutral team Orfeo Casolari Selle Italia-Campagnolo-Elite, usually engaged by the most important bike races. With a rich corollary of collateral events, "GF Selle Italia" represents a must for bike lovers, what already from Friday will can meet formal rider Davide Cassani - testimonial of this event - enjoy themselves among the stands of Bicycle Show, follow their kids in "mini granfondo" or, for who ones who wanted to overdo, take part also at a time trial race.
